Rideaux de Fer #2 — Paris shutters, special Lutes

On Friday, 16 October, Nespo is back at Le Grand Jeu to launch the second volume of Rideaux de Fer, his zine devoted entirely to the painted shutters of Paris. The idea hasn’t changed since issue one. When a shop closes for the night, its shutter becomes a wall, and graffiti writers have been using those walls for decades. Page after page, Nespo documents the city’s roll-down shutters, from laundromats and bakeries to corner cafés and neighbourhood supermarkets. Tags, throw-ups and full pieces sit between shop signs and phone numbers.

This issue carries a special focus on Lutes BMC, whose shutters mix lettering with characters lifted from pop culture. The zine includes an unpublished interview, archive material and action shots. It’s printed offset in colour, A5, with 110 pages and a perfect binding. Come meet Nespo, grab a copy and have a drink with us.
