T-shirts de Rap Français — Paris Book Release Party

Before it hangs in a frame, a scene lives on cotton. Concert tees, promo shirts, bootlegs — worn, faded, kept until they became documents in their own right. T-shirts de Rap Français 1989–2010, the book by Driss Dendoune produced by mgh!, gathers this overlooked archive: the garment as a record of a movement, before the labels, before the storefronts.

After an early preview at Beyond the Streets Paris last July, the full edition is finally out — and Driss is throwing his first book release party to celebrate. The evening opens with Dan de Ticaret, a signing session with Driss Dendoune and designer Nicolas Charavet, a round table hosted by Merci le Merch and a live graffiti performance by Banga. From 9:30PM, DJ Goldfingers and DJ Naughty J take over until late. Books on sale on site.
