Visions from the Subconscious Underground

Beneath the polished surface of contemporary graphic culture, another current is running, built from subconscious flashes, half-formed creatures, and the unruly energy of underground illustration. Grazy Homeworks Vol. 1 lives right there, in that liminal space where imagery doesn’t need permission to exist: a visual terrain shaped by surreal impulses, childhood echoes, and the kind of raw imagination that slips through before meaning catches up.

Published by Les Succubes and designed by Gilles Roudot (a.k.a. Go Grazy), the book gathers a selection of works created between 2022 and 2025. No text, no commentary, just 92 pages of shifting atmospheres, symbolic tension, and images that feel like they’ve been pulled directly from the edges of a dream. Limited to 50 copies and printed in Brussels, Vol. 1 comes with screen-printed covers and a handmade attitude that pushes back against digital smoothness.

This Thursday, Gilles Roudot will be at the bookstore to present the project, talk about the world behind Grazy Homeworks, and dive into the process of giving form to a universe that resists fixed interpretation.
