I’ve always hated not being able to talk about upcoming editorial projects just because the book wasn’t out yet. So here we are — a whole section dedicated to books on their way.
- Katre launches a crowdfunding campaign for his first monograph: Antonin Katre, from Urbex to Post-Graffiti. The result of over a year of work will retraces 15 years of artistic practice (2010–2024) across 264 pages.
Velocity Press will soon be releasing some amazing new titles.
- In 1989, six visionary graffiti artists (Rough, Part2, Stormboy, System, Tee Roc and Solo1) were invited to join a groundbreaking new collective spearheaded by Juice 126. Thus, the Ikonoklast Movement was born. Future Language of the Ikonoklast: A Visual History of the Ikonoklast Movement is the definitive chronicle of the group’s most groundbreaking works, with a focus on their prolific output during the 1990s.
- Take No Prisoners: The Desert Storm Sound System Story will be a tribute to Keith Robinson — a pioneering figure in the free party scene who tragically lost his life in the River Thames.
- Planes, Trains & Amphetamines: Clubbing Holiday Confessions is the story of what happened when Kirk Field created the world’s first holiday company catering exclusively to clubbers, pioneering a new kind of tourism.
- What is hardcore? It’s best described as a feeling, an attitude, and a way of life. Dance or Die is the first critical and expansive study of hardcore as a music, a subculture and an enduring “phuture” rave movement.
This post ends here. Don’t worry, you will hear from us soon.
