SUMMARY:Tilt – Never Ending Story: Throw-ups\, Traces & Erasure
DESCRIPTION:During lockdown\, Tilt — the Toulouse graffiti artist known worldwide for his work — set himself one rule: a throw-up a day. More than 700 appeared across his city\, only to vanish soon after under layers of buff paint. Never Ending Story grew out of that obsessive\, ephemeral practice — a deep dive into the aesthetics of appearance and disappearance\, documenting two decades of gestures\, traces\, and erasures. \nMore than a photo book\, Never Ending Story brings together Tilt’s hands-on experience\, the analyses of researchers David Pontille and Evelyne Toussaint\, and the perspective of a pioneer like Henry Chalfant — co-author of Subway Art\, who describes Tilt’s throwies as plump\, jolly beings that shake\, rattle and roll\, even on a concrete wall. With work and words from international legends — Moses\, Taps\, Nop2\, Seen\, Pemex\, OsGemeos\, Remio\, Fish\, Puls\, Padre… — it stands as both a tribute to one of graffiti’s most essential practices and a reflection on repetition\, memory\, and the persistence of the trace. \nDesigned by Martin Clamens and printed offset by Escourbiac\, the book runs to 472 pages with exposed-stitch binding — an object as much as a book. \nLe Grand Jeu invites you to the launch of Never Ending Story in the presence of Tilt. An evening to meet the artist\, leaf through the book\, and talk throw-ups\, erasure\, and the never-ending cycle of the wall. \n📖 Never Ending Story — Book Launch & Signing with Tilt\n🗓 Friday\, June 26th | 🕓 from 6PM\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Thierry Maignan - Negroïde City
DESCRIPTION:In Paris\, some presences are constant yet rarely centered — visible in everyday life\, but still pushed to the margins of dominant narratives. Negroïde City begins from this tension. Through a series of black-and-white photographs\, Thierry Maignan traces a lived city shaped by bodies\, gestures\, and movements that quietly redefine its landscape. \nBoth intimate and political\, the book develops a direct photographic language stripped of anecdote and spectacle. Faces\, postures\, and fragments of urban life emerge with clarity\, forming a visual narrative that questions visibility\, memory\, and postcolonial legacy. At its core\, Negroïde City is a gesture of reappropriation — of the gaze\, of representation\, and of language itself. \nLe Grand Jeu invites you to the launch of Negroïde City in the presence of Thierry Maignan. An evening to encounter the work beyond the page\, engage with the artist’s perspective\, and reflect on how images can shift what a city reveals — and what it chooses to conceal. \n📖 Negroïde City — Book Launch & Signing with Thierry Maignan🗓 Friday\, July 3rd | 🕓 from 6PM📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Off the Rails — Graffiti\, Trains & the Underground City
DESCRIPTION:After a fifteen-year-old boy discovers a graffiti blackbook\, his eyes are opened to an unseen city. As his interest in rugby league fades\, he finds himself drawn to spray cans\, a camera\, and the abandoned buildings\, rooftops and active train tunnels of Sydney. In its forgotten spaces\, he encounters a community who see the city as he does — not just as a place to live\, but as a place of immense beauty\, above and below. \nOff the Rails is the debut novel by Jet Williams — Sydney-based writer\, artist and urban explorer. For this evening at Le Grand Jeu\, Jet will present the book and open a conversation about Australian graffiti culture\, freight train writing\, and the underground landscapes that shaped it. The evening will also include a screening of an unreleased documentary on Sydney’s underground scene\, directed by filmmaker and creative partner Max Dona. \nRegistration is open — reserve your spot here. \n📖 Off the Rails — Book Talk & Signing with Jet Williams\n🗓 Thursday\, July 4th | 🕓 from 3PM\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:French Rap Tees — The Wardrobe of a Culture
DESCRIPTION:Before it hangs in a frame\, a scene lives on cotton. Long before French rap reached the museum\, it moved through the streets on the backs of those who built it — concert tees\, promo shirts\, bootlegs\, worn until they became documents in their own right. French Rap Tees\, the book by Driss Dendoune produced by mgh!\, gathers this overlooked archive: the garment as a record of a movement. \nThe book officially releases this October — but we’re celebrating it early\, because part of the collection it documents is on view right now inside Beyond the Streets. For one afternoon\, Le Grand Jeu takes this story into the show. We begin with a guided tour of the exhibition at La Villette\, then move to its bookshop — run by Sarah Andelman — for an exclusive drop of just 50 copies of French Rap Tees\, signed in the presence of two founding voices of the culture\, Solo and Manu Key. Dan of Ticaret joins us too\, to unveil the Ticaret × Beyond the Streets collaboration — an edition initiated by Le Grand Jeu. \n📖 French Rap Tees — Guided Tour\, Exclusive Drop & Signing with Driss Dendoune\, in the presence of Solo and Manu Key\n🗓 Friday\, July 10th | 🕓 2–7PM (tour) · from 5PM (drop & signing at the shop)\n📍 Beyond the Streets\, Grande Halle de la Villette\, Paris 19

SUMMARY:TEK — Techno\, Trance & Dance Music's Hidden History
DESCRIPTION:TEK — Une Histoire de la Techno is a traverse through the history of electronic dance music\, spanning from the early experiments of the Groupe de Recherche de Musique Concrète in the 1950s through psytrance\, jungle and the free party movement. Electronic music is everywhere now — in adverts\, concert halls\, supermarkets\, woven into rock\, rap\, pop\, and even jazz and swing. TEK traces how we got here\, mapping the evolution and reach of a culture shaped by technology\, repetition and the dance floor. \nThis Wednesday\, we’re celebrating the launch of a newly revised and expanded edition of the TEK fanzine. A long-running collaboration with Compagnie les Comploteurs (since 2020)\, TEK combines audio documentary\, fanzine and DJ-Conférence into a single compact\, accessible format. The new edition includes a previously unpublished chapter on the history of jungle and drum’n’bass\, an expanded bibliography and curated playlists for each musical genre explored. At 7:30 PM\, the DJ-Conférence — a live reworking of the text in sound and rhythm — will unfold for approximately thirty minutes. \n📖 TEK — Une Histoire de la Techno — Fanzine Launch with DJ-Conférence\n🗓 Wednesday\, July 15th | 🕓 from 7:30 PM\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Before It Dries While It Lasts — Writing\, Water & Disappearance
DESCRIPTION:Before It Dries While It Lasts is an experiment in writing as a temporary act — stripped of its usual claim to permanence. Working with water\, Edoardo Baraggioli creates wall interventions that evaporate over time\, questioning mark-making\, duration and disappearance within the field of graffiti. \nFor this evening at Le Grand Jeu\, Edoardo will present his fanzine and screen documentation of his practice\, followed by a participatory workshop: visitors are invited to intervene directly on the walls around the bookshop using water vaporizers — a collective experience that is at once performative and photographic. SUMMARY:Le Premier Métro — Graffiti\, Departure & the Search Elsewhere
DESCRIPTION:H. is a graffiti writer. For years\, his name — ANY1 — has marked the walls of Paris. But Parisian life starts to wear thin\, and he sets off to see whether the grass is greener elsewhere: a one-way ticket to Australia\, in search of new walls and new air. \nLe Premier Métro is a novel anchored in the years 2015–2020\, threading real names from the Parisian and Australian graffiti scenes through H.’s journey — a story of restlessness\, departure\, and the search for paint and meaning beyond the city that made him. \nLe Grand Jeu invites you to the launch of Le Premier Métro\, in the presence of author Olivier Cachetout. SUMMARY:Out of Print — Two Days of Graffiti Print Culture
DESCRIPTION:Graffiti has always lived in print. Long before it entered museums\, the culture circulated on paper — magazines passed hand to hand\, fanzines photocopied in small runs\, catalogues that sold out and never came back. To collect these publications is to hold onto a history that was never really meant to last: printed cheaply\, traded freely\, and gone almost as soon as it appeared. \nOUT OF PRINT brings that history back into circulation for two days. Conceived as a graffiti and art book market — from collectors for collectors — it gathers publishers\, booksellers and independent sellers to present new releases alongside rare\, out-of-print and special publications. Books\, magazines\, fanzines\, exhibition catalogues\, DVDs\, VHS tapes\, stickers\, toys and prints: the full material culture of writing\, from established houses to self-published projects. A place to browse\, discover\, exchange\, and reconnect with titles that are long sold out\, hard to find\, or simply special. \nHeld in the hall of the “Kinderschutzbund” next to the St. Magni Church\, the market runs alongside the Colour & Soul Festival. Free entry for all. \n📖 OUT OF PRINT — Graffiti & Art Book Market\, From Collectors for Collectors\n🗓 Friday July 31st (Pre-Opening 5–8PM) & Saturday August 1st\, 2026 (11AM–6PM)\n📍 Hall of the “Kinderschutzbund”\, Hinter der Magnikirche 6A\, 38100 Braunschweig\, Germany

SUMMARY:Silly Little Projects Vol. II — D.I.Y. Trying
DESCRIPTION:Some objects are impossible to throw away and useless to keep. A ticket stub\, a broken earring\, a key to a door that no longer exists. \nThat is where Alisa Cayoo starts. The Paris-based designer builds one-of-a-kind chains out of found and sentimental objects — the name comes from cailloux\, the pebbles you pick up and pocket without knowing why. She joins Silly Little Projects\, the London magazine founded by Lucy Murrey\, for an afternoon of collective chain-making at the shop. \nBring your own objects\, charms or tiny treasures — or pick from the collection on the table — and turn them into a keychain or bag charm that is yours alone. Materials and wine are provided. \nThe session also marks the arrival of Silly Little Projects Vol. II: D.I.Y. TRYING\, a DIY-couture catalogue and activity book that argues\, in an age of passive scrolling\, that trying too hard is worth defending. Places are limited and booking is required. \n📖 Silly Little Projects Vol. II — DIY Jewellery Workshop with Alisa Cayoo\n🗓 Saturday\, September 5th | 🕓 4 – 7 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11\n🎟 Tickets: €35\, or €50 with a copy of the magazine

SUMMARY:Métamorphe — From Blackletter to Cholo
DESCRIPTION:Gothic script was never meant to travel. It was built for Northern European scribes\, carried to Spain\, then loaded onto ships — and once it reached Mesoamerica it stopped behaving like a European alphabet. Blackletter absorbed whatever it landed in: colonial signage\, devotional imagery\, tattoo culture\, the walls of Mexico City and the barrios of the American Southwest. What came back out was something else entirely — góticas mexicanas\, and the Cholo writing that shaped a large part of how West Coast letters look today. \nLola Raingard follows that drift across two continents. Métamorphe / Shape-shifter is research as much as picture book: it tracks how a script adapts and hybridises the further it gets from home\, and pairs the argument with the author’s own photographs alongside public-domain images documenting these gothic manifestations. Bilingual French and English throughout. \n📖 Métamorphe / Shape-shifter by Lola Ringard zine launch\n🗓 Thursdat\, September 10th | 🕓 6 – 9 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:La Chamba — Work\, Travel & the Tourist's Gaze
DESCRIPTION:La Chamba is what work is called across much of Latin America: the job\, the hustle\, the thing that fills the day and quietly organises everything around it — streets\, houses\, landscapes\, and the very places tourism turns into scenery. Dorian André spent seven months between Mexico\, Guatemala and Nicaragua photographing exactly that. A graphic designer who uses photography as a research tool\, he shot\, edited and laid out this first book alone\, and he photographs from where he actually stands\, as a traveller passing through\, making that position part of the subject rather than hiding it. He calls La Chamba a first chapter: the beginning of a longer look at work as a way of life. \nDorian André will be at the shop all evening to sign copies\, alongside a selection of prints from the book shown on the ground floor — one large poster and four framed prints. La Chamba is self-published in an edition of 60 copies\, each numbered and signed: 210 × 260 mm\, 148 pages\, PUR binding\, four-colour throughout\, text in French and Spanish\, €20. \n📚 La Chamba — Dorian André\n📅 Friday 18 September 2026 | 6pm – 9pm\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, 75011 Paris

SUMMARY:Trente-Cinq — Three Letters from Namur
DESCRIPTION:An MC warms up a crowd\, somewhere in Namur\, some year in the nineties: three letters\, a group you don’t need introducing\, NBS\, make some noise. That tape still exists\, and so does the crew. Namur Break Sensation have been at it for thirty-five years\, which in b-boy terms is closer to a geological era than a career. Trente-Cinq\, published by Wal’Style\, is what they pulled out of the boxes to mark it — 68 pages in black and white\, A5\, written by Guillaume Roose and designed by Julien Roose. Flyers\, photographs\, jams\, faces. Not a monument\, more a crew talking among themselves and letting you listen in. \nBelgian hip-hop rarely gets told from the inside\, and almost never from Wallonia. This does both\, without the grand claims that usually come with an anniversary book. \n📖 Trente-Cinq — 35 Years of Namur Break Sensation\, with Wal’Style and Jihef aka Rage 156\n🗓 Friday\, September 19th | 🕕 4 – 7 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Du bitume au sacré — Still Under Construction
DESCRIPTION:Before Homecore\, there was a kid from the banlieue raised the hard way\, with street culture as a first language. That kid was Alexandre Guarneri. Thirty years after founding one of French hip-hop’s defining labels\, he has gone back through his own story to ask how you take apart what you were taught in order to find your own way. Du bitume au sacré\, published by Jouuue! éditions\, is where he works on that question without pretending to close it. The book is short\, illustrated and openly personal\, moving between the streets that formed him and what occupies him now: meditation\, Gumjo\, a shelf of books on spirituality. No conversion story\, no before-and-after. Just someone still under construction at fifty-something\, and honest enough to say so. \nFor one afternoon\, the book turns into a place you can walk into. SUMMARY:Capuzzelle — Naming the Anonymous Dead
DESCRIPTION:Capuzzelle are the anonymous skulls of Naples: for centuries\, in the ossuaries and cemeteries of the city\, the living would adopt one\, give it a name and pray for its soul\, in the hope that the favour might be returned. Andrea d’Avossa spent 2025 walking the Cimitero Monumentale di Poggioreale on that principle\, though what he brought back is neither devotion nor nostalgia but an inventory — a frontal\, serial photographic typology of the skulls carved and forged into the graves themselves. His accomplice Mathieu Imbert then took over the naming: Francky\, Karl\, Clitandre\, Amenhotep III and poor Maxime\, hand-stamped onto the page with an irony that is tender and faintly absurd. \nAndrea d’Avossa comes up from Naples for the evening and will be at the shop to sign copies\, with the full run available. Capuzzelle is published by Top Fanzine Editions in an edition of 60 numbered copies\, each blistered with a stamped photographic print: A6\, 32 pages\, black and white\, Arena Rough paper\, hand-stamped text\, hand-stitched binding\, text in French and Italian\, €15. \n📚 Capuzzelle — Andrea d’Avossa & Mathieu Imbert\n📅 Friday 25 September 2026 | 6pm – 9pm\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, 75011 Paris

SUMMARY:Philadelphia Graffiti Handstyles — Street Penmanship\, from Gangster Prints to Wickeds
DESCRIPTION:Philadelphia has never had the mainstream aura of New York\, and its writing has stayed largely off the record. Yet few cities have produced a scriptural texture of their own — a shared way of shaping letters that goes beyond the individual signature. Some local writers call this American metropolis “Whip City”: in the sense used in boxing or dancing\, the whip is the energy pushed into a stroke to get speed and consistency at once. Named “Gangster Prints” when they first appeared in the mid-to-late 1960s\, the old Philly hands have since branched into a whole family of variants\, developed on walls and refined on paper. \nIn the spring of 2023\, French graphic designer and architect François Chastanet spent time in the streets of Philadelphia with his camera. He also sat down for notebook lettering sessions with writers from several generations — a rare look at the preparatory work that happens before anything reaches a wall. The result traces the ongoing evolution of the city’s handstyles\, with particular attention to the condensed\, monumental “Tall Hands” and the “Wickeds”\, elaborate wild-style signatures that demand exceptional control and exist nowhere else. Chastanet has been doing this kind of close visual analysis for two decades\, from Pixação: São Paulo Signature to Cholo Writing: Latino Gang Graffiti in Los Angeles and Dishu: Ground Calligraphy in China. \nPhiladelphia Graffiti Handstyles: An Exploration in The Early 2020s gathers 125 color photographs and diagrams across 160 hardcover pages in a 24×36 cm format\, with a foreword by Philadelphia writer and researcher Sam Meyerson aka CURVE — co-author\, with Bret Syfert\, of the Tallhand & Punchline fonts and manual — and an essay by Chastanet himself. Le Grand Jeu invites you to the Paris launch\, with the author present to sign copies. \n📖 Philadelphia Graffiti Handstyles by François Chastanet — book launch\n🗓 Friday\, October 2 | 🕕 6 – 9 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Oreall Pop-Up — Bathroom Problems in Paris
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 3 October\, Le Grand Jeu hands the shop over to the rapper Oreall for a one-day pop-up. It’s his first time meeting his Paris audience in person\, and the format is deliberately simple. Come by\, talk\, listen\, and leave with a piece of the project. On the table: his CD Bathroom Problems\, a run of T-shirts\, and the last copies of Sous Press’ fanzines. \nWe see this kind of event as part of what an independent bookshop is for. Rap culture has always travelled through small formats: self-released CDs\, merch pressed in short runs\, photocopied zines. Oreall’s label\, Bigzindustrie\, runs the stand from start to finish. We provide the room and the audience. \nMeet Oreall at Le Grand Jeu 🎤\n🗓 Saturday\, 3 October 2026 | 🕓 4pm – 7 pm\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, 75011 Paris\n🎟 Free entry

SUMMARY:T-shirts de Rap Français — Paris Book Release Party
DESCRIPTION:Before it hangs in a frame\, a scene lives on cotton. Concert tees\, promo shirts\, bootlegs — worn\, faded\, kept until they became documents in their own right. T-shirts de Rap Français 1989–2010\, the book by Driss Dendoune produced by mgh!\, gathers this overlooked archive: the garment as a record of a movement\, before the labels\, before the storefronts. \nAfter an early preview at Beyond the Streets Paris last July\, the full edition is finally out — and Driss is throwing his first book release party to celebrate. The evening opens with Dan de Ticaret\, a signing session with Driss Dendoune and designer Nicolas Charavet\, a round table hosted by Merci le Merch and a live graffiti performance by Banga. From 9:30PM\, DJ Goldfingers and DJ Naughty J take over until late. SUMMARY:One Love Books Paris Launch — Greensleeves\, Clarks and Jamaica
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 10 October\, the London publisher One Love Books comes to Paris for an afternoon at Le Comptoir Général\, co-organised with Le Grand Jeu and Judah Roger. There’s no talk and no stage. It’s a meet-and-greet with Alexander Newman\, a book signing\, and DJ sets on vinyl while the venue carries on as usual. Signed copies of Greensleeves: The First 100 Covers will be available on the day\, alongside From Somerset to the World and Clarks in Jamaica. \nOne Love Books documents the visual and material history of Jamaican music and its diaspora. Their books cover the sleeves of a label that shaped reggae and dancehall\, and the unlikely story of how a Somerset shoe became a Kingston uniform. These are histories told through objects\, and that’s why they sit naturally on our shelves next to graffiti\, hip-hop and skate. All three titles are already available at the shop and online. \nSigning and DJ sets at Le Comptoir Général 🎶\n🗓 Saturday\, 10 October 2026 | 🕓 3–7pm\n📍 Le Comptoir Général\, 84 quai de Jemmapes\, 75010 Paris

SUMMARY:Fugace — Jean Sinelle's last months as a student\, in a zine
DESCRIPTION:Most of what we keep from a period of our lives now sits on our phones: photos\, but also screenshots\, notes typed in a hurry\, messages we never delete. In Fugace\, his first zine\, photographer and video journalist Jean Sinelle looks back at his last months as a student by putting those two archives side by side. Pictures of ordinary days sit next to screen captures and personal notes. The 36 pages were designed by Robin Glandon and printed on recycled paper in an edition of 50 copies. There are no big events here. The zine is about melancholy and the softness of the everyday\, the kind of time you only recognise as a chapter once it’s over. \nOn Thursday 15 October\, we launch Fugace at the shop. Jean will sign copies at the entrance\, and the back of the bookshop becomes a one-night exhibition. A wall of A4 posters mixes his photos with screenshots\, and a bedside corner (notebook\, markers\, small prints\, a lamp) brings the private side of the project into the room. A playlist opens the evening\, then from 8pm Rocknguurl plays a dub and rock DJ set. \n📖 Fugace — Jean Sinelle\, zine launch & signing\n🗓 Thursday 15 October 2026 | 🕓 6 – 9 pm\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, 75011 Paris\n🎧 DJ set by Rocknguurl from 8pm

SUMMARY:Rideaux de Fer #2 — Paris shutters\, special Lutes
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, 16 October\, Nespo is back at Le Grand Jeu to launch the second volume of Rideaux de Fer\, his zine devoted entirely to the painted shutters of Paris. The idea hasn’t changed since issue one. When a shop closes for the night\, its shutter becomes a wall\, and graffiti writers have been using those walls for decades. Page after page\, Nespo documents the city’s roll-down shutters\, from laundromats and bakeries to corner cafés and neighbourhood supermarkets. Tags\, throw-ups and full pieces sit between shop signs and phone numbers. \nThis issue carries a special focus on Lutes BMC\, whose shutters mix lettering with characters lifted from pop culture. The zine includes an unpublished interview\, archive material and action shots. It’s printed offset in colour\, A5\, with 126 pages and a perfect binding. Come meet Nespo\, grab a copy and have a drink with us. \nLaunch night at Le Grand Jeu 🛑\n🗓 Friday\, 16 October 2026 | 🕓 6pm – 9 pm\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, 75011 Paris\n🍻 Free drinks

SUMMARY:Itinéraire bis — A Hong Kong journey by Yucka & Jean Moner
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 17 October\, Yucka and Jean Moner come up from Nantes to present Itinéraire bis\, a book of film photographs taken in Hong Kong in February 2025. Both come from the graffiti scene\, and that background shows in how they look at the city: side streets\, details\, places away from the usual routes. The 276-page book is organised into eleven chapters\, each opened by a short text. They’re meant as ways in\, not captions. For the day\, a selection of their prints will hang on the shop walls. \nGraffiti is still there\, just set apart. The book comes with an 84-page fanzine covering the local scene and the duo’s own painting sessions in the city. The fanzine also opens up to digital photography\, while the book stays entirely analogue. There’s also a box-set edition. The Invasian Magazine crew will be joining us for the afternoon. \nSigning and prints at Le Grand Jeu 📷\n🗓 Saturday\, 17 October 2026 | 🕓 4–7pm\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, 75011 Paris\n🎟 Free entry

SUMMARY:B.C.E. 2026 — Surf\, skate and snow in print at the Casino de Biarritz
DESCRIPTION:From 21 to 25 October\, Le Grand Jeu leaves the passage de Ménilmontant for Biarritz. We’ll be a partner of the third Board Culture Exposure\, the international photography contest devoted to skateboarding\, surfing and snowboarding. The main show at the Casino Municipal brings together 32 photographers across five categories: skate\, surf\, snow\, lifestyle and reportage. Satellite exhibitions run in cultural venues around town. \nOn site\, we’ll run a bookstand with books\, exhibition catalogues and zines on surf\, skate and snow culture. It’s a wide selection\, with few copies of each title. The logic is the one we apply to graffiti. Board cultures have produced their own images\, and their own ways of printing and circulating them\, and those deserve to be read as a history in their own right. \nFind us in Biarritz 🏄\n🗓 Wednesday 21 – Sunday 25 October 2026\n📍 Casino Municipal de Biarritz\, 1 avenue Édouard VII\, 64200 Biarritz

SUMMARY:Tunnel Vision — French premiere\, Q&A and a Traintrax DJ set
DESCRIPTION:Some graffiti is about style; some is about the few minutes before the police arrive. Tunnel Vision\, the documentary by Swedish director Lukas Wigardt\, follows Rolex\, a hardcore bomber from the Stockholm scene devoted to a rare and nearly lost discipline: painting the city’s most inaccessible inner-city subway stations\, knowing that transit security is on its way the moment he steps onto the platform. Three to five minutes\, no stress\, total focus — graffiti as an act of self-realisation and freedom. Le Grand Jeu and Le Consulat present the film’s French premiere\, followed by a Q&A with the director. \nMusic has always been part of graffiti film\, and Tunnel Vision is no exception: its soundtrack is by Traintrax\, the duo of Woesum and Stacey. After the Q&A\, the night continues with a DJ set by Stacey\, Stockholm-based producer and DJ blending hip-hop and ambient (RealYungPhil\, Jaeychino\, Gud\, Woesum)\, while unreleased footage shot during years of filming graffiti missions keeps rolling on the big screen. Prints from the film will be on sale on site. \n🗓 Tuesday\, 27 October 2026 | 🕓 Doors 6pm\, screening 8pm\, DJ set until midnight\n📍 Le Consulat\, 14 avenue Parmentier\, 75011 Paris\n🎟 Free entry until 9pm\, €10 after

SUMMARY:50/66 — Route 66\, Film & the Art You're Not Supposed to Find
DESCRIPTION:Route 66 turns one hundred this year\, and most of what made it famous is gone. Motels boarded up\, gas stations rusting where they stand\, whole towns bypassed by the interstate and left to hold their shape without a function. It is a road that survives largely as an idea — which is exactly the condition Mars Yahl and Roomattack set out to photograph and draw. \nFor two months they drove it end to end. Mars Yahl shot film along the way\, recording what still stands of an America quietly given up on. Roomattack worked in the opposite direction: in every motel room they slept in\, he hid a drawing on the wall and left it there. One was documenting what remains\, the other planting what would have to be looked for. 50/66 Hidden Art Project puts the two side by side\, in two chapters — On Route 66 and Off Route 66 — and in doing so becomes something closer to a map. Route 66 enthusiasts have already started hunting the hidden pieces down\, town by town. \nPublished in an edition of 200 for the centenary of the Mother Road — and\, as the authors like to point out\, two hundred years after Niépce fixed the first photograph — the book carries its own second layer: several images animate in augmented reality. Mars Yahl and Roomattack will be at the shop to present the project and sign copies. Anyone buying the book on the night gets a QR code that brings the cover\, and one of the photographs\, to life. \n📖 50/66 Hidden Art Project — Book launch & signing with Mars Yahl and Roomattack\n🗓 Friday\, November 6th | 🕖 7PM – 9PM\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Jim Saah — In My Eyes\, D.C. hardcore on film
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, 12 November\, in the middle of Paris Photo week\, Le Grand Jeu and King Koala Press open an exhibition of the work of Jim Saah\, the Washington\, D.C. photographer who documented the city’s hardcore punk scene from the inside. From 1982 to 1997\, he followed Minor Threat\, Faith\, Void and Fugazi at close range. He also photographed Iggy Pop\, Sonic Youth\, the Ramones and Lou Reed. His pictures ended up on the cover of Fugazi’s Repeater and in Our Band Could Be Your Life. As Ian MacKaye put it\, they “often would look like the way I felt on stage.” \nThe exhibition brings together fourteen black-and-white photographs\, all shot on film and printed on archival pigment paper. Each is signed and numbered by the artist\, and all are for sale. A poster wall of crowd shots and archive material completes the show. It’s also the Paris launch of the European/Japanese edition of In My Eyes\, published by King Koala Press. Jim Saah will be there for the opening night\, along with the publisher. There’s no formal talk\, just time to meet him\, look at the prints and talk about the scene. \nOpening night with Jim Saah 🎸\n🗓 Thursday\, 12 November 2026 | 🕓 6pm – 9pm\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, 75011 Paris\n🖼 Exhibition on view until January 2nd\, 2027

SUMMARY:30 years of Luxembourg graffiti: book signing and film screening
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, 26 November\, Luxembourg’s graffiti scene comes to Le Grand Jeu for a double bill. The first half is “SSS“\, the book tracing thirty years of work by SPIKE\, STICK and SUMO. They were among the first writers in the country when graffiti and hip-hop arrived in 1995. Since then their styles helped shaping its walls. With 544 pages\, more than 1.000 images and sketches\, the book covers writing\, tagging\, painting\, jams\, parties and collaborations with crews across Europe. It follows how three styles evolved into signatures that are now instantly recognisable. \nThe second half is a screening of “Am Schluechthaus“\, a 26-minute documentary co-directed by Olivier “Sader” Potozec from I love Graffiti and Jérôme Freund. It tells the story about the hall of fame in Luxembourg city\, a former slaughterhouse which stayed fully painted since 1998 for twenty-five years until today. The film was shot mostly during “I Love Graffiti am Schluechthaus” in May 2023\, when about a hundred artists from across Europe repainted more than 2\,500 m² of walls. Along the way\, it asks how the memory of a quarter-century of subversive culture can survive the site’s redevelopment. There will be two screenings\, and a third if the room calls for it. \n\nGraffiti from Luxembourg 🇱🇺\n🗓 Thursday\, 26 November 2026 | 🕓 6:30pm screening\, 7pm signing\, 8pm second screening\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, 75011 Paris\n🎟 Free entry
