DESCRIPTION:Le Grand Jeu hosts the launch of a collaboration between two Parisian practices that meet on cloth: the drawing of writer Flask — shaped by the most radical years of graffiti\, from the metros to the tunnels — and the eye and press of catcentcat\, analog photographer seen in the docuseries With One Eye Open and printer of his own merch in Paris. More than 700 appeared across his city\, only to vanish soon after under layers of buff paint. Never Ending Story grew out of that obsessive\, ephemeral practice — a deep dive into the aesthetics of appearance and disappearance\, documenting two decades of gestures\, traces\, and erasures. \nMore than a photo book\, Never Ending Story brings together Tilt’s hands-on experience\, the analyses of researchers David Pontille and Evelyne Toussaint\, and the perspective of a pioneer like Henry Chalfant — co-author of Subway Art\, who describes Tilt’s throwies as plump\, jolly beings that shake\, rattle and roll\, even on a concrete wall. DESCRIPTION:TEK — Une Histoire de la Techno is a traverse through the history of electronic dance music\, spanning from the early experiments of the Groupe de Recherche de Musique Concrète in the 1950s through psytrance\, jungle and the free party movement. Electronic music is everywhere now — in adverts\, concert halls\, supermarkets\, woven into rock\, rap\, pop\, and even jazz and swing. TEK traces how we got here\, mapping the evolution and reach of a culture shaped by technology\, repetition and the dance floor. \nThis Wednesday\, we’re celebrating the launch of a newly revised and expanded edition of the TEK fanzine. A long-running collaboration with Compagnie les Comploteurs (since 2020)\, TEK combines audio documentary\, fanzine and DJ-Conférence into a single compact\, accessible format. The new edition includes a previously unpublished chapter on the history of jungle and drum’n’bass\, an expanded bibliography and curated playlists for each musical genre explored.
