SUMMARY:Girls — Portrait Series
DESCRIPTION:Over the past three years\, this project has taken shape through a series of encounters\, captured without staging and without a fixed framework. Girls brings together these moments as they were — direct\, simple\, and unaltered. In Girls\, Jeanne Narquin brings together these moments as they were — direct\, simple\, and unaltered. \nSelf-published in a limited edition of 100 copies\, this first photobook assembles portraits of women met along the way. Rather than constructing a narrative\, the book builds a sequence — an accumulation of presences that reflects a personal rhythm of looking and photographing. \nLe Grand Jeu invites you to the launch of Girls\, accompanied by a photographic exhibition. The evening will unfold around the book and a selection of images\, offering a moment to discover the project\, meet the author\, and engage with a work shaped by time\, proximity\, and repetition. \n📖 Girls — Book Launch\, Signing & Exhibition🗓 Friday\, April 24 | 🕓 From 6PM📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:OX — Reworking the Image
DESCRIPTION:A key figure in French urban art\, OX has developed over four decades a distinctive practice rooted in the poetic reappropriation of advertising panels and public space. His work moves between modernist references\, popular imagery\, and commercial visuals\, creating a dialogue that shifts constantly between irony\, minimalism\, and experimentation. \nFor the first time\, more than one hundred studio works are gathered in connection with the exhibition in Nancy\, offering a broader look at the evolution of his visual language. This presentation highlights the influences and research that have shaped his practice\, and opens a space for discussion around the exhibition and its accompanying publication. \nJoin us at Le Grand Jeu for an evening dedicated to OX’s work and its context today. \n📖 OX — Book Launch\n🗓 Saturday\, April 18\, 2026 | 🕓 From 4PM\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Orléans by Names — City Traces
DESCRIPTION:Traces of a forgotten scene often survive where no one is looking — in shoeboxes\, private albums\, and analogue negatives left untouched for decades. This project returns to the graffiti culture of Orléans\, reconstructing fragments of a local movement shaped in the shadow of Paris\, yet rooted in its own territory. \nBuilt from personal archives and years of research\, the book brings together largely unpublished photographs from the late 1980s to the 2000s. It reflects a desire to preserve and transmit a history that might otherwise have disappeared — reconnecting with key figures of the time while also bringing forward lesser-known writers\, sometimes even unknown within the scene itself. \nLe Grand Jeu invites you to the launch and book signing of Orléans by Names — 25 ans de graffiti à Orléans. An evening dedicated to the release of the book and the archival work behind it\, offering a direct encounter with its author and the memory of a scene that remained\, until now\, largely unseen. \n📖 Orléans by Names — 25 ans de graffiti à Orléans | Book Launch & Signing🗓 Friday\, April 17\, 2026 | 🕓 From 6PM📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Chaze — Sndtrk1: A Graffiti Archive
DESCRIPTION:Some books begin with a discovery. Forgotten negatives\, found by chance\, bringing back fragments of a life once lived. For Chaze\, this moment marked the return of more than thirty years spent inside graffiti: an art form as marginal as it is deeply rooted in personal and collective memory. \nThrough Sndtrk1\, Chaze revisits his journey through images\, places\, and encounters. The book unfolds as both a visual archive and a testimony\, capturing the atmosphere of a scene that evolved over decades while remaining largely undocumented. More than a retrospective\, it offers an intimate look at graffiti as lived experience. \nLe Grand Jeu invites you to celebrate the launch of this book in the presence of Chaze. Join us for a signing and discover this limited edition\, exploring the pages and stories behind a lifetime dedicated to graffiti. \n📖 Sndtrk1 — Book Launch & Signing\n🗓 Thursday\, April 2\, 2026 | 🕓 From 6PM\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Photographie\, Jeu Vidéo\, Paysage: Mapping Horizons
DESCRIPTION:In an era where virtual worlds increasingly shape our visual culture\, the boundary between reality and simulation becomes fragile. With Photographie\, Jeu Vidéo\, Paysage\, Pascal Greco explores landscapes generated within video games\, approaching them with the rigor of a traditional photographer. \nPublished by IDPURE éditions & Chambre Noire\, the book gathers a selection of in-game photographs that question perception\, authorship\, and the status of the image in a pixel-based world. Treating digital environments as real territories\, Greco reframes the virtual horizon as a photographic subject in its own right. \nJoin us at Le Grand Jeu for the vernissage and book launch of Photographie\, Jeu Vidéo\, Paysage. A selection of works will be exhibited in the bookstore\, followed by a conversation and signing with the artist. \n📖 Photographie\, Jeu Vidéo\, Paysage — Vernissage & Book Launch with Pascal Greco\n🗓 Tuesday\, 31 March\, 2026 | 🕓 From 6P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:RUBUS HOBOS — Rail Stories & Jam Tasting
DESCRIPTION:In a time shaped by speed and constant connection\, freight hopping remains a quiet\, almost invisible way of travelling. Riding freight trains across Europe\, Jens Besser has explored rail yards\, borders and in-between landscapes rarely seen by conventional travellers. Along the tracks\, he began collecting wild blackberries\, a simple gesture that gradually became the core of a larger project. \nWhile waiting for trains\, Jens mapped cultivation areas\, drew sketches and documented life along the rails. The berries he gathered turned into small batches of intensely flavored jams\, and into RUBUS HOBOS\, picking berries along the railroad tracks\, a guide that blends travel narrative\, observation and countercultural memory. \nAt Le Grand Jeu\, Jens will share stories from the railroads\, present a selection of photographs from his journeys\, and offer a tasting of his rare blackberry jams\, served with French croissants and Italian coffee. An invitation to slow down and look differently at what travel can mean. \nThe event operates on a free donation (pay what you want) basis. Attendance is limited to 10 participants. Registration is required. Participants will be contacted in order of registration and will be asked to confirm their attendance shortly before the event. Please register via the following form \n📖 RUBUS HOBOS — Freight Hopper Stories & Jam Tasting\n🗓 Sunday\, March 8\, 2026 | 🕓 From 10 to 12 A.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Metrocard - New York Stories
DESCRIPTION:In a moment where memories of New York blend with imagination\, Metrocard invites a walk through the city’s first impressions\, seen through a curious and poetic gaze. Beyond a simple travel diary\, it explores fragments of story around Clara and encounters in everyday urban life. \nValentine Métayer transforms these negatives into a Metrocard-format zine\, an accordion fold where each image suggests a story\, a doubt\, an immersion. Between photography and fiction\, the project questions how we interpret the city and visual narrative\, inviting the reader into an intimate\, fragmented universe. \nFor the launch\, the bookstore will present Metrocard\, offering attendees a chance to explore its unique format and imagery up close. \n📖 Metrocard — Fanzine Launch\n🗓 Friday\, March 6th | 🕓 From 6P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Shadows – Where the City Fades
DESCRIPTION:Some cities reveal themselves only when you slow down. In Shadows\, Axel Corjon\, designer of the project Fonts Ninja\, walks through Seoul for hours\, hip-hop in his headphones\, letting the city unfold in silence. Between vast avenues and quiet alleys\, Seoul appears as a place of contrast and fragile balance\, where light\, movement\, and chance briefly align. \nThe book is built on instinct rather than intention. Axel does not document the city as it is\, but distills fleeting moments where shadows\, reflections\, and passing figures hover between presence and disappearance. \nThe evening marks the launch of Shadows and is accompanied by a photographic exhibition presenting a selection of images from the book. An intimate moment to discover Axel Corjon’s visual journey through Seoul\, in close connection with the bookstore. \n📖 Shadows — Book launch & photo exhibition with Axel Corjon\n🗓 Thursday\, 26 February\, 2026 | 🕓 From 6 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Murphy’s Law: London Underground
DESCRIPTION:Some publications don’t document graffiti from the outside\, they emerge from within it. Murphy’s Law gathers four years of movement between London and various international cities\, tracing a practice rooted in friendship\, risk and persistence. Between 2022 and 2025\, Murf captured the graffiti of his circle as it unfolded across streets\, train lines and shifting urban landscapes. \nThe 100-page zine combines digital and 35mm photography in a raw\, direct sequence. It reads as a field record rather than a retrospective; images made in motion\, without staging or spectacle. \nFor this in-store launch\, Murphy’s Law will be available in a limited first edition of 75 copies (most already gone). Each copy includes a hand-made sticker by the artist. A rare opportunity to access this field document of graffiti culture. \n📖 Murphy’s Law — In-store launch & signing with Murf\n🗓 Saturday\, February 21\, 2026 | 🕓 From 4 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Queens Boulevard - A Winter Walk Across New York
DESCRIPTION:Queens Boulevard\, a major New York thoroughfare stretching over 11 kilometers\, walked end to end in winter. With his medium format 6×6 analog camera\, Simon Souchois captures storefronts\, signs\, and urban markers encountered along the way\, assembling a visual cartography of the city. \nWith little pedestrian traffic\, the boulevard functions almost as an urban highway\, dividing neighborhoods rather than connecting them. From Long Island City to Jamaica\, it reveals New York’s diversity through a succession of adjoining cultures\, African American\, Caribbean\, Asian\, Hispanic\, Slavic\, and Irish\, a continuous tracking shot across the urban landscape. \nEach photograph is indexed by its exact intersection\, allowing the viewer to retrace the artist’s steps like a travel diary through the urban maze. The series brings together over fifty black-and-white images of street corners\, frozen in the warm light of a New York winter\, and is accompanied by a selection of hand-printed silver gelatin photographs\, printed by the artist and presented in the bookstore. \n📖 Queens Boulevard — A Winter Walk Across New York — Fanzine Launch with Simon Souchois🗓 Friday\, February 20\, 2026 | 🕓 From 6 P.M.📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:28\,000 km — Stories from the Road
DESCRIPTION:Since childhood\, a pursuit of intensity has guided the author on a 28\,000 km bicycle journey from New York to the foot of Mount Hua\, traveling without GPS or hotels\, as both clown and pirate\, accompanied by old friends. The illustrated narrative\, 28000km des geoles du Queens au pied du mont Hua\, captures the energy of the road and the poetry of unexpected encounters\, in a world shaped by audacity\, humor\, and scandal. \nThis first book blends anecdotes\, reflections\, and adventures: each page is an exploration of self and others\, of art and life. Illustrator\, muralist\, performer\, and more\, the author translates their artistic versatility into a vivid story where introspection and contemplation of the world’s wonders intersect with excess\, debauchery\, intoxication\, and vulnerability. \nThe evening will be a book launch\, offering the chance to meet the author\, explore their overflowing universe\, and celebrate the freedom and magic of the road\, in close connection with the bookstore. \n📖 28000km des geoles du Queens au pied du mont Hua — Book Launch with the author\n🗓 Thursday\, February 19\, 2026 | 🕓 From 6 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:White Hat — Inside a Hacked Art World
DESCRIPTION:In contemporary art spaces shaped by visibility and power\, some gestures choose disruption. White Hat — “Hacking the Systems” documents illegal banner interventions carried out in major art institutions\, from FIAC and Art Basel to Tate Modern and the New Museum. \nCo-written by Marc-Antoine Léval and art critic Henrique Grimaldi\, the book revisits the Please Buy / Show My Work series through images and context. SUMMARY:Dérives Picturales : Anti-Style Practices
DESCRIPTION:Dérives picturales brings together graffiti works that step outside established codes. Photographed mainly in Paris\, with incursions into Lille\, Nantes\, Brussels\, Berlin\, and Athens\, the fanzine traces an alternative urban landscape shaped by unusual forms and visual languages. \nDriven by a passion for graffiti and modern and contemporary art\, the author focuses on so-called “anti-style” works. The project acts as a personal compilation\, reflecting an affinity for abstraction and for artists who deliberately move beyond dominant conventions. \nConceived as an invitation to question the codes of graffiti\, Dérives picturales opens a space for reflection and inspiration. SUMMARY:Bordeaux90 — Birth of a Writing Scene
DESCRIPTION:Before becoming a movement\, a scene often begins with a few teenagers testing the city.\nIn the early 1990s\, Bordeaux saw the emergence of a graffiti scene shaped by freedom\, intuition\, and close contact with the urban environment. Bordeaux 90\, Naissance d’une scène graff looks back at that decisive decade\, when a local visual language took form beyond dominant codes. \nPublished by Éditions Terrain Vague\, this bilingual book combines firsthand accounts\, contextual analysis\, and previously unpublished analog photographic archives. Neither a simple image catalogue nor a collection of interviews\, it offers a structured reading of a scene influenced by hip-hop\, skate culture\, hardcore punk\, and other subcultures in full effervescence. \nThe event will mark the launch of Bordeaux 90\, Naissance d’une scène graff at Le Grand Jeu. An opportunity to discover the book and revisit the visual grammar that emerged from Bordeaux’s streets\, trains\, and industrial margins\, accompanied by a photographic exhibition and a video screening presented from 4 to 5 P.M. \n📖 Bordeaux 90\, Naissance d’une scène graff — Book launch\n🗓 Saturday\, 31 January\, 2026 | 🕓 From 4 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Loopera: A Life in the Margins
DESCRIPTION:Some stories survive not through archives\, but through the scenes that carried them.\nActive between Belgium\, France\, and the Netherlands\, Liza (1958–2001) was a defining yet often overlooked figure of European electronic and hardcore culture. From classical training to tape experimentation\, from New Wave and EBM to rave and hardcore\, her trajectory unfolded within underground networks where sound\, community\, and radical independence were inseparable. Her death in 2001 marked the end of an era\, and a particular way of living electronic music. \nLoopera is a fanzine dedicated to preserving that legacy. Bringing together texts by Claudia Attimonelli\, Riccardo Balli\, and Jan Hartungen\, the publication traces Liza’s role within the French and Dutch underground\, her collaborations with artists such as Dano\, Manu le Malin\, Laurent Ho\, and DJ Pure\, and the creation of her label Provision. \nThe event will mark the launch of Loopera at Le Grand Jeu. An opportunity to present the fanzine\, revisit the figure of Liza\, and trace her role within European electronic and hardcore culture. The evening will also include a screening of a video connected to the fanzine\, offering an audiovisual complement to the publication. \nA second event connected to the fanzine will take place on Saturday\, January 31\, with a DJ set at TOOLBOX (30 Rue Saint-Ambroise\, Paris 11)\, from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M. \n📖 Loopera — Fanzine Launch and Projection\n🗓 Friday\, January 30\, 2026 | 🕓 From 6 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Rap Monde & Rap Styles - Global Sounds
DESCRIPTION:At a time when rap is global yet deeply rooted in local scenes\, these two books offer a clear way to navigate its complexity. From Chicago and Atlanta to London\, Paris\, and Marseille\, rap continues to evolve through cities\, sounds\, and cultural exchanges that shape contemporary music worldwide. \nPublished by Combo Éditions within the Music Talk collection\, conceived by Guillaume Le Goff as an accessible overview of today’s music\, Rap Monde and Rap Styles explore both the geography and the aesthetics of contemporary rap. SUMMARY:Time in the city: Walking the Night
DESCRIPTION:Over the course of two nights\, Manhattan’s Lower East Side becomes both setting and subject in time in the city\, a photo zine shot entirely by New York–based photographer Alain Levitt. Reduced to streets\, faces\, movements\, and pauses\, the neighborhood appears as a sequence of fleeting moments\, fragments of a city experienced at walking pace\, after dark. The project situates itself within a long tradition of urban observation\, where photography becomes a tool for attention rather than narration. \nEdited by Time and designed by Grandmastermechanic\, Englishman in New York brings together 66 photographs taken within a deliberately limited time frame. The choice of constraint\, two nights\, one area\, one gaze\, gives the publication its coherence and strength. Rather than documenting an event or a story\, the book functions as a visual record: a quiet survey of atmosphere\, gestures\, and spatial tension. Printed in an edition of 100 copies\, it reflects an approach rooted in independence\, materiality\, and the intimacy of the zine format. \nThe event will mark the launch of Englishman in Nez York at Le Grand Jeu. An opportunity to discover the fanzine up close\, explore its sequencing and design\, and engage with the visual language of the project. A focused presentation of a rare photo zine\, and a moment to reconnect with the Lower East Side through nocturnal wandering. \n📖 Englishman in New York — Fanzine launch with Time\n🗓 Thursday\, January 22\, 2026  | 🕓 From 6 P.M.\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:My definition of a Bboy!: DIKSA and the Roots of HIP-HOP
DESCRIPTION:Some figures return like markers on a map: traces of where a culture first learned to move. In the mid-80s Paris HIP-HOP scene\, graffiti\, dance\, and rap were one and the same. DIKSA (GT–TNB) grew up inside that momentum\, shaping a graphic style as coded as it is enduring. His first fanzine\, My definition of a Bboy!\, looks back at the emblematic figure that defined his early years: the B-boy as both icon and attitude. \nPublished by All Man’s Land Paris\, this 32-page fanzine gathers drawings\, signs\, and decades of visual vocabulary. Fully edited and designed by DIKSA\, it focuses on the B-boy as a central motif of his work. The edition also includes a fold-out “Plan de métro”\, a Posca-and-spray sketch reproduced like an actual metro map and slipped inside the book. \nOn Saturday 20\, DIKSA will be at Le Grand Jeu to present the fanzine and revisit the early codes\, crews\, and images that shaped his practice. A close-up look at a rare first publication and at the visual foundations of a long-standing graffiti career. \n📖 My definition of a Bboy! — Fanzine launch with DIKSA\n🗓 Saturday\, December 20\, 2025  | 🕓 From 4:00 PM\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 Passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Adios Bahamas: 12/12 Across the City
DESCRIPTION:In a city where walls remember more than archives\, some images return to the street to restore what time tries to erase. Since 2021\, the collective 12/12 has been creating twelve murals across Paris and its suburbs in tribute to the rapper Népal and his album Adios Bahamas. Born from grief and friendship\, these works became a quiet map of the city\, a place where memory\, music\, and public space speak to each other. \nPublished by Allary Éditions\, the book brings together over two hundred photographs and short texts from Népal’s sisters\, collaborators\, and close artistic circle. It documents how each mural was imagined and executed\, revealing an artistic process rooted in care\, loyalty\, and the desire to write a story directly onto the city. \nOn Thursday 18\, members of 12/12 will be at Le Grand Jeu to present the book and revisit the journey behind these twelve murals. The discussion will blend images\, anecdotes\, and the backstage of a project built outside institutions: a moment to understand what it means to create for a city rather than for a gallery. \n📖 Adios Bahamas — Book presentation with the 12/12 collective\n🗓 Thursday\, December 18\, 2024 | 🕓 From 6:00 PM\n📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 Passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Inside Shoe’s Black Book: The Roots of Calligraffiti
DESCRIPTION:Before Calligraffiti became a global language\, there was just a kid from Amsterdam filling a black book with tags\, outlines\, and borrowed tricks from the masters. Shoe’s Black Book − Graffiti in the 1980s is the facsimile of that raw beginning: the years 1985–1987\, when Niels Shoe Meulman learned\, absorbed\, imitated\, failed\, tried again — and slowly carved out his own line. \nThis was the period when Shoe was tagging alongside Rammellzee\, Dondi White and Keith Haring. A black book stolen and mysteriously returned\, now turned into a transmission device: part diary\, part playground\, part testing ground for a culture still taking shape. Page after page\, you see a wide-eyed newcomer becoming a signature — and how a simple sketchbook can turn into a foundational artefact. \nPublished by Ruyzdael Publishing\, all the books comes hand-signed\, each with a Shoe tag that’s built directly into the cover design. \nNiels Shoe Meulman will be at Le Grand Jeu on December 13 for a special signing of Shoe’s Black Book\, diving back into those electric years when everything was being invented in real time. \n📖 Shoe’s Black Book — Book signing with Niels Shoe Meulman🗓 Saturday\, December 13\, 2025 | 🕓 From 4:00 PM📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 Passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11

SUMMARY:Towards the Light — A Fourteen-Year Love Letter in Shadows
DESCRIPTION:Before the light became his language\, Antoine Plainfossé was just a teenager with a camera\, quietly collecting fragments of the world: hands\, eyes\, streets\, shadows. Towards the Light brings together fourteen years of those moments\, from Paris to Miami\, expanding on his first solo show Hidden Views and tracing the slow formation of an inner map: identity\, dreams\, and the things we can’t fully name. \nThe book moves through high-school corridors\, European coastlines\, and far-off cities\, stitching them into a visual diary where the subconscious leaks through. Every image is a small opening\, intimate\, suspended\, a bit haunted\, the kind you return to without knowing exactly why. \nPublished as an extension of Hidden Views\, Towards the Light will be presented at Le Grand Jeu with a behind-the-scenes look at Plainfossé’s long-term process and the quiet mythology built into his photographs. \n📖 Towards the Light — Book presentation with Antoine Plainfossé🗓 Friday\, December 12\, 2025 | from 6:00 pm📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 Passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11e

SUMMARY:Ghosts in the Machine: Stories from the British Underground
DESCRIPTION:Beneath the political noise of post-Thatcher Britain\, another story was unfolding — written in marker pens\, DIY flyers and illegal raves. Ghosts in the Machine\, published by Alias Press\, explores how a generation of disenfranchised youth found identity and cohesion through graffiti and rave culture\, resisting the era’s social and political divides. \nTold by participant observers Christopher Stead and Nema\, the book mixes imperfect histories\, sharp anecdotes and subcultural insights. With 300 archival photographs and a foreword by Jonny Banger\, it captures the rise of two movements that shaped global counterculture — and questions what remains of their radical energy in the age of constant communication. \nThis Saturday\, Christopher Stead will be at Le Grand Jeu to present the book and discuss this journey across graffiti\, rave culture and youth rebellion. \n📖 Ghosts in the Machine — Book signing with Christopher Stead🗓 Saturday\, December 6\, 2025 | 🕓 From 3:00 PM📍 Le Grand Jeu\, 15 Passage de Ménilmontant\, Paris 11
