Orléans by Names — City Traces

Traces of a forgotten scene often survive where no one is looking: in shoeboxes, private albums, and analogue negatives left untouched for decades. This project returns to the graffiti culture of Orléans, reconstructing fragments of a youth movement that shaped its own visual identity outside official narratives.
Built over several years of research, the project revisits Orléans’ graffiti scene through recovered photographs and testimonies from the 1980s to the 2000s. It forms a fragmented archive of writers, movements, and shared territory.
Le Grand Jeu invites you to the launch and book signing of Orléans by Names — 25 ans de graffiti à Orléans. An evening dedicated to the book’s release and to the archival work behind it, offering a direct encounter with its authors and the history it documents.
