My definition of a Bboy!: DIKSA and the Roots of HIP-HOP

Some figures return like markers on a map: traces of where a culture first learned to move. In the mid-80s Paris HIP-HOP scene, graffiti, dance, and rap were one and the same. DIKSA (GT–TNB) grew up inside that momentum, shaping a graphic style as coded as it is enduring. His first fanzine, My definition of a Bboy!, looks back at the emblematic figure that defined his early years: the B-boy as both icon and attitude.
Published by All Man’s Land Paris, this 32-page fanzine gathers drawings, signs, and decades of visual vocabulary. Fully edited and designed by DIKSA, it focuses on the B-boy as a central motif of his work. The edition also includes a fold-out “Plan de métro”, a Posca-and-spray sketch reproduced like an actual metro map and slipped inside the book.
On Saturday 20, DIKSA will be at Le Grand Jeu to present the fanzine and revisit the early codes, crews, and images that shaped his practice. A close-up look at a rare first publication and at the visual foundations of a long-standing graffiti career.
