Art & Place Conference

From May 1 to 4, 2025, don’t miss the first edition of the Art & Place Conference in Saarbrücken, which gathers a selected list of international experts from the fields of street art, graffiti and public art.

The program features speakers from Europe, America and Australia including Joey Skaggs, one of the founders of culture jamming, as well as Barrett Zinn Gross aka Vandal, legendary 1970s New York subway sprayer. Lectures take place at Historical Museum Saar, where visitors can also view the milestone exhibition ILLEGAL: Street Art Graffiti 1960–1995. The evenings feature a series of film screenings including German and international premieres.

The conference also marks the launch of a new publication series, sponsored by Le Grand Jeu. First up: Jeroen Erosie on Eindhoven’s 90s sticker scene and Mathieu Tremblin’s curated project for the 2024 Urban Art Biennale.
