Moniker Art Fair is the leading UK-based event dedicated to street art and urban contemporary art, showcasing both emerging and established talents from a rapidly expanding and increasingly diverse movement defined by its subversive attitude and innovative spirit. Since its inception, the fair has positioned itself as an essential international platform, connecting artists, galleries, collectors, and audiences, while fostering critical discourse around practices rooted in the streets and evolving within the contemporary art landscape.
In May 2018, Le Grand Jeu collaborated with Moniker Art Fair for the first time by managing the bookstore of the New York edition of the fair, held from May 3rd to 6th. This marked an important step in the expansion of the fair beyond the UK, reinforcing its global outlook and its ability to engage with new cultural contexts and audiences.
For this occasion, Le Grand Jeu presented a curated selection of new, rare, and out-of-print books devoted to street cultures. Through this editorial focus, the bookstore became a space for research and exchange, highlighting the role of publishing in documenting, preserving, and disseminating the histories and practices of street and urban art.
